In this video, Aaron Giberson and myself identify the most common mistakes when training triceps, back & shoulders.
Tricep pushdowns
1. Not fully extending. When performing this movement make sure to extend your arms fully; try to push right through the floor.
2. Not going up high enough.
3. Using too much body english. Avoid swaying by starting and finishing in the same position.
Lat pulldowns
1. Swinging. Picturing leaning in will help keep your back straight.
2. Too short of a range-of-motion. Let your shoulders come all the way up at the top of the lift.
Shoulder press
1. Not bringing the bar down low enough. Do not stop at your chin. The bar should come down to your collar bone.
